The Great Gatsby Book Design
In GrC 439 - Book Design Technology, I was assigned the project of redesigning my favorite book. I chose The Great Gatsby, as I wanted to showcase the desirable side of the Roaring '20s through my illustrations and typography.
The Process
I used Adobe InDesign to create the inside design of the book, and I used Procreate to make all illustrations.
After testing out different type families and font choices, we peer-reviewed multiple times with classmates. I was then able to form my desired final style for the inside of the book matter. The process from there involved finalizing how I wanted to design the front matter.
My limited edition book included illustrations that I drew in Procreate on my iPad.
